EMS stands for Electro Muscle Stimulation. EMS is the elicitation of muscle contraction using electrical impulses. Every movement in the body is produced by an electrical impulse sent from the brain to the muscle fibers. In conventional training, these electrical signals cause muscle contraction and trigger movement.

Through using this natural principle, EMS is able to intensify the process to reach deeper muscle layers, which are harder to activate through conventional training. This is achieved by applying EMS electrodes to the skin directly above the muscle. Your personal trainer can control each muscle group by adjusting the training intensity according to your individual goals and comfort level.

EMS training targets all of the muscle connective tissue layers, from superficial to deep, with low-frequency electric impulses. During EMS training, 90% of muscles are activated simultaneously with each contraction. Muscle contractions are stronger and more intense than-with typical voluntary exertion.

Most people can do EMS training. If you have a health condition which prevents you from participating in any conventional sports, please consult with your doctor first.

The training cannot be used by people with heart disease, a pacemaker, or other implanted electric devise, during pregnancy, or anyone with a predisposition to epileptic seizures.
